Growing Instructions

Direct-sow Daikon Radish seeds in late summer to early fall for best results, as they thrive in cool temperatures. Plant seeds 1/2 inch deep and 2 inches apart in loose, well-drained soil. Thin seedlings to 4–6 inches apart to allow roots to develop fully. Keep soil consistently moist, but avoid waterlogged conditions. Harvest roots when they reach 12–18 inches in length or about 2–3 inches in diameter for optimal tenderness and flavor. Avoid leaving them in the ground too long, as they can become woody.
