Growing Instructions

Soak parsley seeds in warm water for 24 hours before planting to improve germination. Start seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost date or direct-sow outdoors in early spring. Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep in rich, well-draining soil. Keep the soil consistently moist, as parsley can be slow to germinate, taking up to 28 days. Transplant seedlings outdoors after hardening off, spacing plants 8–12 inches apart in rows 12–18 inches apart. Parsley prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade, especially in hotter climates. Harvest leaves as needed, cutting from the outer stems to encourage continued growth.
