Growing Instructions

Start Early Jalapeño seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost date. Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep in seed-starting mix, maintaining temperatures between 70–85°F for optimal germination. Transplant seedlings outdoors when nighttime temperatures remain above 55°F. Space plants 18–24 inches apart in rows 24–36 inches apart. Peppers thrive in full sun and require well-draining, nutrient-rich soil. Keep the soil consistently moist and mulch to retain moisture. Harvest when peppers reach 3 inches in length and are firm and glossy, either green or fully ripened to red for a sweeter, spicier flavor.
