Growing Instructions

Direct-sow Early Summer Crookneck Squash seeds outdoors after the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed to at least 70°F. Sow seeds 1 inch deep, spaced 18–24 inches apart in rows 36–48 inches apart. Squash thrives in full sun and rich, well-draining soil. Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during fruit production, and mulch to help retain moisture. Harvest when the fruits are 4–6 inches long for the best flavor and texture. Frequent picking encourages continued production throughout the summer.
