Growing Instructions

Direct-sow Golden Acre Cabbage seeds outdoors in early spring or late summer for a fall crop. Sow seeds 1/4 inch deep, by pressing them into the ground (cabbage seeds germinate faster when exposed to light) spacing them 12–18 inches apart in rows. Cabbages prefer full sun and well-draining, fertile soil that is consistently moist. Water regularly during the growing season to keep soil evenly moist, but avoid waterlogging. Golden Acre is known for its fast maturity, so keep an eye on your cabbage heads as they grow. Harvest when the heads are firm and fully formed. The compact size of Golden Acre makes it ideal for smaller garden spaces, and it can also be grown in containers.
